Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to create your account, save your career profile, and provide HireAlt features.

• Account details such as your email address and authentication information.
• Profile and resume content you upload or enter, including work history, skills, and education.
• Job search data you add, such as job descriptions, applications, and tracker status.
• Product usage needed to operate the service, such as feature activity and plan limits.
• Basic technical data such as browser type, device, and approximate location from IP address.

We do not buy marketing lists about you, and we do not sell your personal information.

When you upload a PDF or DOCX resume, HireAlt reads that file to extract your experience, skills, education, and related career details. That extracted content becomes part of your Master Resume (Resume Vault) so you can update it and reuse it.

You control what you upload. Do not upload someone else’s resume or private documents unless you have the right to do so. You can edit or replace your Master Resume at any time from your account.

Your account is used to sign you in, keep your data private to you, and apply your plan (Starter, Pro, or Premium). We store the email you use to register and the information needed to keep you signed in securely.

If you upgrade to a paid plan in the future, our payment provider will process billing details. HireAlt does not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

HireAlt uses artificial intelligence to power features such as resume parsing, tailored resume generation, ATS analysis, and job match insights. To do that, we send the relevant parts of your resume, job description, or prompt to trusted AI providers so they can return a result for your request.

• AI is used to provide the feature you asked for — not to advertise to you.
• Providers receive only the content needed for that request.
• AI output can be imperfect. You should review every tailored resume and insight before you use it.
• We do not sell your resume content to third parties for their advertising.

Your information is stored with professional cloud infrastructure providers. We use HTTPS so data is encrypted in transit, and we limit access to your account data to providing and supporting the HireAlt service.

No online service is perfectly secure. We work to protect your career data, and we expect you to protect your password and the devices you use to sign in. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us right away.

We share information only in these cases:

• With vendors who help us run HireAlt (hosting, database, authentication, email, and AI processing), under obligations to handle data carefully.
• If required by law, a valid legal request, or to protect people from serious harm.
• If HireAlt is involved in a merger or transfer of the business, with notice where required.
• With your direction — for example, if you choose to export or download your materials.

You can:

• Access and update your account and Master Resume inside HireAlt.
• Download resumes you generated in Resume Studio.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, subject to records we must keep for security, billing, or law.
• Opt out of non-essential emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. Email us and we will help you exercise them.

We keep your account and career data while your account is active so the product keeps working. If you delete your account, we remove or de-identify personal data within a reasonable time, unless we need to retain a limited record (for example, to complete a security review or meet a legal requirement).

HireAlt is built for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy as HireAlt grows. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify you in the product or by email.
